Simply Strings is a privately owned business whose sole purpose is private violin instruction. The mission of Simply Strings is to instill in students a love of music and learning, while at the same time providing them with the skills and knowledge to be a successful violinist.

Simply Strings bases it's teaching style off of the Suzuki method. Students will start off learning how to play entirely by ear. After they begin to grow more proficient at where to place their fingers and hold their bow they will start to learn how to read the music they are playing. However, memorization of the songs will continue to be a strong part of the program. Throghout all instruction, variety and engagement in learning will be important. Dedication and hard work will be key to a students success. Lessons will include variety in instruction: musical games, rythm exercises, position work, and music theory. Learning violin will be hard work, but our goal is that it will also be fun!

Technology will also be a key component of the program. When students complete a learned piece, their song will be recorded on video. With parent/gaurdian permission, each student will have their own page on Simpy Strings. Each of their videos will be uploaded where friends and family can view the videos online. This is an optional part of the program, however, this allows the students to have a purpose for learning each new piece, allows them to see their growth over time, as well as publish their hard work for others to enjoy.
